Celtic Zodiac Signs

Like many countries the Celtics had their own beliefs regarding astrology, and their own formations of the Celtic Zodiac Signs.

The Celtic Astrology was based on the Druid Zodiac.

In fact you will find the Druids were a sect of Celtic priests, who lived around 1000 B.C. and they based their culture on astrological signs.

The Druids believed in a 13 month calendar with 28 eight days in length and one floating day.

You will find that their Zodiac signs are based on tree sign dates.

You will also find their signs are based on a letter of the Ogham alphabet, guardian animal or a Celtic god.

These symbols can be found in a variety of different jewelry in today’s world.

You will find that for the Celtic Zodiac Signs there is little evidence left behind from the Druids.

While we do know that they were based on tree symbols, and we have pictures of the signs we are still not certain how they actually applied to their astrological beliefs.

In fact most who follow the Celtic Zodiac and astrology find it to be very subjective.

The tree that I have mentioned before is called the Birch Tree and the Celtics believed this tree to be very important to their astrological beliefs.

In fact the twelve signs of the Sun Zodiac that we traditionally hear about will correspond to twelve signs relating to the Birch Tree for the Celts.

Some of the important elements to astrology and the Celtic Zodiac Signs are the rock crystal, which is a naturally forming gemstone, the stage, golden eagle, daisy, birch character, and the balance of their beliefs.

The Celts believed that there were positive and negative aspects that were incorporated into the tree.

These opposing aspects were thought to bring balance to the world as well as the characters in the world.

In other words there had to be two sides to a coin, two sides to people, and a complete pair for the balance to continue.
